Starting August 29, 2025, the U.S. government will end the $800 duty-free exemption for international parcels. (Source)
What This Means
Until now, most orders under $800 could enter the U.S. without customs duty. From the end of August, every parcel — no matter the value — may be charged duties before delivery. This applies to all categories, including second-hand and vintage clothing.
What to Expect
- Carriers (USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL) may reach out if any duty needs to be cleared.
- Small parcels will continue to move smoothly, though there may be a duty added.
- Customs checks could sometimes cause extra delays.
Our Promise
We’ll continue to keep you informed and adjust where we can.
Future plans: We’re currently working on a DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) service for U.S. buyers, so your orders will arrive with all duties prepaid — no extra charges at delivery. Stay tuned!
We know many of you choose vintage for sustainability and individuality. These new rules won’t change our mission: bringing you timeless, carefully sourced pieces.
