Tariffs, Taxes, and Shipping to U.S.

Under the current de minimis rule, U.S. buyers won’t face any surprise fees when ordering from us.

As of May 2, 2025, the U.S. has removed the de minimis exemption for low-value imports from China and Hong Kong, meaning shipments valued at $800 or less from these countries will now face duties. (Source: The White House)

However, this does not affect shipments from the United Kingdom. Items valued at $800 or less from the UK are still eligible for duty-free entry under the de minimis exemption (Section 321(a)(2)(C) of the Tariff Act of 1930).

So, when buying from Taroswish in the UK, if your order is valued at $800 or less, it should qualify for duty-free entry to the U.S. under the current rule.

FAQ's

Q: Will I pay any import duties or taxes when ordering from the UK? Where do you ship from?

A: We ship directly from the UK. As long as your order total (including shipping) is under $800, it qualifies for duty-free entry into the U.S.

Q: How long does shipping to the U.S. take?

A: We use Royal Mail International Tracked for reliable and fast shipping. Most orders typically arrive in 7–8 working days.

Q: What happens if I want to purchase multiple items?

A: We recommend splitting larger orders into separate purchases to stay under the $800 threshold. This ensures that each order qualifies for the duty-free exemption when it arrives in the U.S.
